How do you become a Data Scientist?
To become a data scientist, it’s important to undergo solid training. You must have a degree in computer science, statistics, mathematics or a similar field. You can take a training course leading to a certificate in data science. Recruiters require a minimum level of bac+5.
ECE offers the Data & AI Major program, which is a two-year course. It prepares students to become competent Data Scientists.
Courses are offered in English for the initial formula and in French for the apprenticeship. This combination enables you to develop global expertise for an international career. The required entry level is grade 4ᵉ.
During this course, students acquire in-depth skills to master Machine Learning algorithms. You’ll learn to use essential data analysis and manipulation tools, such as R Spark, Python and Matlab.
This program focuses on the development of skills through various modules such as :
