What is a minor?
Learn about technology marketing, do a final year of studies or an internship abroad, work on a startup project or even approach the
scientific research by a research master in the last year…, all these possibilities and many others are offered to ECE engineering students. By choosing a minor whose objective is to help actively prepare their professional project, engineering students acquire decisive skills for their career.
Students can choose from 8 minors in the 2nd year of the engineering cycle. They aim to help students discover a wide range of professions to help them choose their professional future.
COMMERCIAL NEGOTIATION
This minor prepares those who are attracted to commercial careers to validate their professional project focused on technical-commercial careers and then business engineering.
MANAGEMENT OF AN ORGANIZATION AND MANAGEMENT BY PROJECT
This minor is intended for all students who wish to improve their ability to manage a business unit in project mode.
DIGITAL CREATION JOBS
The primary objective of the minor is to allow students to discover the fields and technical professions – or not – related to digital creation in the broadest sense. This objective is achieved by having students meet different professionals on the occasion of
thematic conferences, as well as by carrying out specific practical work and a larger project in teams. This
project, often carried out with external partners, allows the acquisition of skills in the field (technical or not), the development of a professional network and the realization of some
something concrete to show for a professional suite.
INTERNATIONAL
The International minor targets two student profiles
students wishing to work AND live abroad and
students wishing to work abroad while living in Canada
France. Its purpose is to give students the means to
easily integrate into an international company. She
provide them with the basics of intercultural communication
both professionally and relationally.
PERSONAL PROJECT
It can be a business project in a very specific sector
such as nanotechnology, astronomy or
even the economy. This can be, for example, the development of
skills in the field of acoustics or
optics or to become professionally involved
in humanitarian organizations.
RESEARCH & DEVELOPMENT
Its objective is to introduce students to academic research
and applied, to give them the desire to continue their studies and
possibly to do a doctoral thesis.
MARKETING
The teachings of this minor provide students with an understanding of
engineers the close links between marketing and
innovation, but also the role of the different functions
of the company in innovation.
ENTREPRENEURSHIP
That the student projects himself in the fact of creating of his own
structure, join a startup in technological innovation
or influence a breath of innovation within a large group, this
will provide the toolbox and guidance to be armed to
be the expected leader. Thanks to the teaching provided, it will
the competitive advantage that will make the company successful, with the
modern management rules.
